Went out earlier today at 12.30pm whilst tide was still low. Looked like the wind was still picking up so took out my 5.2......Doh!!!! Was fine for the first 15 minutes but then someone flicked on the wind switch, and for the rest of my 1 hour I was massively stacked and again struggling. Was trying not to jump to keep things under control, but at times with the reasonable sized waves on the inside couldn´t help it. On one occasion was launched straight up vertical in the air by one wave, at which point I thought momentarily ¨this is when I should initiate a back loop....if only I knew how....¨ Instead though of course I ended up bailing out at the apex and....splosh.

Not a particularly enjoyable session because I was so overpowered, but at least my gybes on the inside are coming along nicely, and I didn´t have to battle with the rocks/wind shadow when launching and landing. And hey, the sun was shining, the water is warm....there are a million worst places I could be.....
